Wildernesse has traditionally maintained its membership through existing member referrals from within their community of golfing friends and colleagues. Many members continue to be introduced this way although the Club equally welcomes applications from ladies, men and junior golfers who are either new to the area or do not know other members.
All applicants are required to have member support for their application and most join the Club via our Provisional Membership scheme. This system has operated for many years and gives successful applicants a 6 month period to fully participate in the Club before having to make a commitment to full membership. During this time applicants will gain new golfing friendships through the club's events and pick-up games which will enable them to obtain the necessary member support to complete their final application.
Full members are required to have an appropriate level of golfing experience although should you be new to the game or would like more experience before joining, our Academy programme may be an ideal way to start. This annual programme, run by our Head Professional David Green, provides a structured golf tuition programme, use the practice facilities and access to the course at off peak times.
Wildernesse also has a thriving Junior section. The Junior Organiser, with help from the professional staff organise a full Junior competition programme during all school holidays with equal emphasis on participation and fun as well as ability.
