Sian Evans joined the Wildernesse team in 2022 and is a well-established, fully-qualified PGA teaching professional as well as being a member of the Ladies' European Tour (LET). She fell in love with the game at an early age and hasn't looked back.
Sian had a successful amateur career which peaked when she accepted a full scholarship to play collegiate golf at East Tennessee State University. She turned professional in 2014 after graduating with an honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science, then decided to pursue PGA Qualification while also competing in professional events such as the WPGA and PGA South region. She has won eight professional tournaments and had multiple top-5 finishes. She also won the 2016 South Region Assistant Professional of the Year award.
In December 2018, Sian gained a full LET card by finishing 4th at Qualifying school and in 2019, her rookie year on the LET, she played in 16 events and finished 63rd on the Order of Merit. Her best finish was tied for 8th in the Lalla Meryem Cup. She continued to play on the tour throughout 2020 and 2021, while also competing in the Rose Ladies Series and more local WPGA & PGA events.
Alongside playing, Sian has a passion for teaching all types of golfers, from beginners to club golfers, men, women and juniors. Sian was previously based at Rochester & Cobham Park Golf Club, where she started and ran a hugely popular Ladies Academy. She is excited about working with all Wildernesse Members to help them improve their games.
